Monsoon Bargain

No frugal food at all today, so thought I’d share my day. It was my birthday this week, and today my eldest daughter took me out. First up was an Indian head massage and a facial which left me utterly chilled. Then off to Harry Ramsdens for a fish and chip lunch, a quick rummage round the shops and home to theirs to watch The Guardians with my grand daughter, aged 5. Well, I watched it, she was busy chatting up the small boy next door, standing on a step ladder so she could see over the fence. He does the same on his side of the fence 🙂
Monsoon bargain

The picture is of my bargain of the week. We have a good many charity shops in Heathfield and I look through them often to see if there are any bargains. This pretty blouse was a brand new Monsoon one, complete with labels, so never been worn, made of cream silk, just my size, sold new for £48, and picked up for £7.50 – billy bargain

Tomorrow, I’m off to a friends for an hour or two, she has some blackcurrants still and asked if I wanted any – yes please! I said

I also hope to try a raw broccoli pesto from The Green Kitchen, costs up alright, just need to try it out

Plus I want to see if I can frugalise sufficiently a couscous and sticky chicken recipe. Haven’t costed it yet, so it might not work

How about doing the pasta with peas, corn and cheese, very yummy and can’t be that expensive to make? Glad you had a nice day 🙂 xx
