Well, we are robin-less! Yesterday, they were there in the morning, busily flying to and fro, to and fro, to and fro.

In the afternoon, I mentioned that I hadn’t seen them for an hour or so, and DP said, no, he hadn’t either. And that was it. They cleared off without a backward glance or a ‘thanks for all the mealy worms’. I was so looking forward to seeing the chicks out and about too 🙁

Yesterday, I spent most of the day out in the front garden. Digging and delving out the enormous weeds. It looked a whole lot better by the time I had finished. I gave the fruit trees out there a good old trim too. Got to tackle the back garden next. Although the veg and fruit part is looking pretty tidy already.

Would have done some today, but I was in Bexhill, receiving a metaphorical slap on the wrist at a Driver Awareness Course, as I had been clocked doing 37mph in a 30mph limit. I was dreading it and felt pretty much like I had been sent to the headmaster office. But in the end, they achieved what they wanted, as by the end of the course, I had learned quite a bit, and resolved to change my ways (habitually doing a few more mph than the 30 or 40 limit)
